Atelier Bogoria's Origin Story
Atelier Bogoria is a deeply personal story, shaped by my experiences living in Cape Town and Nairobi.
By Sikelela Dibela, owner of Sikis Koffee Kafe & Roastery in the township of Khayeltisha, who thought me how coffee connects people and communities. By baristas Narsh at Pauline's and Sharon at Rosetta's, who took the time to show me the magic of a perfect filter brew. By my favorite bookshops - Book Lounge in Cape Town and Cheche Bookshop in Nairobi - where I found incredible novels by authors I hadn't known before. By coffee farmer Martin Muriuki, who hosted me at his farm and let me sweat during harvest. By artists at Kuona Arts Collective, like Achieng Owira. By the bold winemakers letting the Cape's soils and identity speak through their wines. By the warm hospitality across the continent. Africa made me feel more rooted. More connected to myself, others and nature (well, let's not exaggerate - I'm still a Dutchie).
Back in The Netherlands, I want to share this with you: a bit of that spirit, a bit of Africa. A different perspective. Through coffee, wine, art and books that stir the senses and carry depth.
Karibuni, welcome. Pole pole, take your time.
